Bali, December 2014… After the success of their last collection, BOTANICAL for S/S 2014 and Archipelago Volume 1, Paulina Katarina releases the second volume of Archipelago to conclude 2014.

The Archipelago series is an attempt to embrace Indonesia’s rich heritage and to encourage the use of Indonesian prints as part of the daily activities and ready to wear pieces. As Paulina Katarina is expanding their market, internationally, Archipelago series was created as means to introduces a piece of Indonesia to the world. This mini series will be parts of Paulina Katarina amazing collections for years to come.

Archipelago Volume 2, Paulina Katarina takes inspirations from one of Indonesia’s iconic traditional textile: Ikat. Ikat is a method of printing woven fabric by tie-dyeing the warp yarns before weaving. It’s everywhere these days, making a comeback in the fashion world. In Indonesia, each area has its own Ikat pattern. This rich history and culture is what makes Ikat so special, and now an inseparable part of Paulina Katarina.

In this collection, Paulina Katarina uses monochrome colors such as black, grey and white. Similar to Volume I, this collection carries modern and ready to wear pieces. It includes 10 pieces of gorgeous dresses, and separates. With such unique and bold print, people can easily mix and match this collection with anything in their closet. It will also be the perfect outfits, whether you’re going to a party or a year’s end holiday abroad.
